It was the morning after this year's All Souls Day and my first time also to be outside Cebu to commemorate the event. I woke up in our place in Babak, Island Garden City of Samal in Davao del Norte (an island now turned city just off coast of Davao City). I wasn't feeling well then but managed to still savor and enjoy the short vacation. As I was getting ready to take a bath, I have been insisting on my mom to take the organic bath soap out of our luggage so I can use it. "I already took it out last night but I could not find it also. Do not force the issue, just use any soap displayed in the bathroom.", she said in Cebuano. "Mao jud, wa ka kaila ug Neutrogena? Mahal na. Imported baya na..(She's right, haven't you heard of Neutrogena? It's expensive and imported)", my aunt who just came home from Bahrain added. "Of course, you are the ignorants, haven't you heard of organic products?!" I shouted in my head. I was finally at peace after Mama rummaged through a pile of clothes taken out from our luggage and found the soap! That night, while I was washing myself before getting a good night's sleep, I have been reading already the contents of the products they are using inside the bathroom including those my Mama trusted for years for her face. If it does not have SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate), it could contain Parabens also! I could not imagine myself anymore using those knowing the chemical contents of the product! Despite my asthma attack, using the organic products that I used made me feel better. The scenario I have shared made me just realize that I am already quite serious in using organics. Why? simply because I am conscious already of the chemicals that are being placed on the products! As what one of the customers in the Human Nature outlet said, "OC" or Obsessive - Compulsive. Environmentalist, ignorant, OC,..call me whatever you want but one thing's for sure for people like US-Opting Organics is Healthy! :-)
