Organic food for the Royal Wedding

Today, the Royal Wedding of the Century (Prince William and Kate Middleton's) is about to take place. As I was browsing the internet and at the same time listening to the telly hunching on the Royal Wedding details from the Bride's wedding gown down to the Royal Dinner. Talk about dinner, the royal wedding will contain organic food.

Supplements Daily quoted one of the Royal Couple's friend, "Charles suggested Mosimann’s (Anton Mosimann who is a close friend of Prince Charles) because they do great organic meat and fish." The father of the groom makes sure that "the wedding is up to his green culinary standards", Supplements Daily added.

According to CBS News,Kate always cook and eat healthy organic food "where possible while in Wales with William".

Indeed, organic food has won favor for the elite as the Royal family takes into consideration to eat healthy and organic for the wedding!

That's all for now as I watch what's on the menu for the Royal Wedding!

Cheers to health!

ORGANIC PRODUCTS I USE: HUMAN HEART NATURE

Yesterday, I started writing about Human Heart Nature. A social enterprise by Dylan Wilk, his wife Anna Meloto-Wilk and Camille Meloto. Somehow they have managed to make it big already after almost three years when it first began. The enterprise is actually a direct selling scheme which composes of dealers who will be selling the products for extra income or eventually become their main source of income! This is not just an enterprise who wants to make a profit but they make sure that the dealers understand the advocacy behind this endeavor.

It is common for people to think of organic products as affordable only to the elite. But with Human Nature, it is affordable since 100%  of the products are manufactured from the Philippines! Thus, the products are affordable even to the ordinary Filipino consumers without compromising its quality.

For more information on Human Heart Nature click here and would you like to become a dealer? Here is your chance! Unfortunately, dealership is only available for US and Philippines. Will keep you posted for branches to open in other countries.

Cheers to health!

How I Started My Organic Craze

Some are asking how my passion for organic products started? Well, I should say my full understanding of it started through Gawad Kalinga. I have mentioned in my previous blogs last year about it. The Human Heart Nature which employs beneficiaries of the GK Payatas 13 for their merchandise as well as giving and improving productivity programs for organic farmers by buying raw materials from them. Human Heart Nature or Human Nature is an organic brand from Gandang Kalikasan, Incorporated formed by Camille Meloto and Anna Meloto-Wilk, the daughters of GK Founder Tony Meloto. Together with Anna's husband Dylan, they formulated the idea which should be 100% natural, organic and 100% Philippine-made. Most of all, it is available in "pocket-friendly" prices as they say at the back label of their products.

For two years now, I have been religiously using their products together with other Philippine organic products (which I will be discussing also in my next few blogs)and so far, I am satisfied with it. Not only that, every time I purchase any of these products, I actually help in improving the lives of Gawad Kalinga's poorest of the poor and our Philippine farmers. In fact, last December, they have donated 100% of the profits of their Citronella Bugspray to the Citronella Farmers of Labo, Camarines Norte, yes, not just a portion but 100%! According to the Human Heart Nature Newsletter, it will be used to buy additional machines and land to be able to produce more citronella. One more thing, the Citronella Bug Spray is the top selling product of all Human Nature products. The best and definitely not the least! So, they donated almost a million pesos to them. Not bad for a starting social enterprise huh?!

Most of all, I am confident that the products I use does not have any harmful chemicals in it. Thus, my love for organics was born!

I will be talking more about it in my next blog!

Cheers to health!

Gisele Bundchen on Organics

"I do not use anything synthetic" , stated supermodel Gisele Bundchen "at the launch of her own organic skin care range" this is as written by  Daily Mail. It seems that the world's highest paid supermodel has finally come to terms of embracing totally the use of natural and organic care as "she is in constant search on what might be the best" for her child, she added as she apologized to those who were offended by her comments.

Since the article did not mention the name of Gisele's product line, I did my  homework and the skin care name is Sejaa Pure Skin Care with products such as Day Cream, Night Cream and Mud Mask. They can be purchased separately or per set called Pure skincare Kit. According to the website, the Brazilian-born model has been involved with humanitarian and environmental awareness. As she became more deeply involved in this endeavor, "she began to be more aware of what she was putting in and on her body", which eventually resulted of her dream skin care collection, free of harmful chemicals and organically made. She has also been a Goodwill Ambassador for United Nations Environmental Program since September 2009 as stated by www.sejaa.com.

So far, I've featured already two  people (the first one is Margaret Fores-check my previous blog:Taking a Stand for Organics) whom I consider as organically-inclined people. Note that they are not just ordinary people, Margaret is a nationally acclaimed culinary artist and of course, Gisele Bundchen, the internationally acclaimed supermodel. I will continue searching for people who are into this campaign.

Cleansing Breakthrough

I just came from Bantayan Island last Saturday and Sunday. Yes, Black Saturday and Easter Sunday. So, I can say that I am not quite successful yet with my detox diet. Not because I ate a lot of junkies but simply because the moment I knew that there won't be a convenient toilet area to run to, I should just postpone it. Anyway, most of the food we took was not quite unhealthy though because majority are fish.

It was lunch time that I mentioned to our coordinator that I am trying to get rid of toxins in my body by just eating fiber rich food or at least just fruits and vegetables. Then, he mentioned if I want to give a try on Jim Humble's formulation called MMS or Miracle Mineral Supplement. He warned me that I might feel nauseous  after drinking or after eating. So, I was willing to give it a try since I just felt I have to empty my stomach from suspicious toxins. Yesterday was Day 1 and somehow I haven't felt anything yet and I just had also my third intake this morning. Well, I am still observing myself and I hope it works. Other than that, I am also eating fruits and juice before taking my breakfast.

'Will keep you posted on my results and how I felt so stay tuned!

Cheers to Health! :-)

Taking A Stand for Organics

Great News! I just got approved by Google AdSense! What a great way to start the Easter. This also spells new life and new hope! New directions in taking a stand for good health too!

Here's an article courtesy of Lifestyle.Inquirer.net about a culinary artist by the name of Margaret Fores who has taken a stand to use only organic ingredients for her recipes. This was actually recommended by my brother.  As I read, it has somehow inspired me again actively advocate on naturally and organically produced goods. Don't get me wrong, I still continue to use organic products but it's just that I don't actively rally on it much anymore. As she takes a stand, so do I!

So, enjoy reading this story of Margaret Fores!

Genesis of my Body Detoxification

Holy Week will be my Detox Week. Rashes due to allergy has been popping out from my skin everywhere.  Thank God it's only allergy and not some viral infection! People who see my rashes are giving lots of speculations already and finally, I have to check it out with a doctor. That's it! It's just allergies! Although she said that it would continue to appear unless I refrain from eating those that trigger it. She recommended an antihistamine to take once daily and that advice. But what 's on my mind is that I probably need just a detoxification because these really don't appear every time I eat the common food i should avoid.

My Day 1 starts now! I will be writing more on my progress. Wish me luck!

Cheers to good health! :-)
